like Bonnie and Clyde
Yesterday, Loverboy and I had a rather interesting dinner, consisting of fish, and lots of it.
Yes. Otah-otah was the main dish.
The location: Under the Woodlands Mrt Tracks. Heeee.
Boyf says he now knows what to get me for my birthday treat. Hah!
Watch me roll around in fishy delight.
Unrequited love, a fate far more cruel than love lost.
Seems that love unreciprocated yet yearning to be felt can do things to people; to drive them to the extent of leaving others behind; to delude themselves of false hope, into a terrible fate that they've created for themselves, and a pain they've carved on the ones that love them.
I've seen the extent that people have gone to just to get a gist of the love they've always wanted to feel.
From leaving the joys of good company behind, to putting dreams and commitments on hold just to chase after an illusion.
Makes me wonder, what else can it do? Murder?
So tell me, do you have friends like that?
Or maybe, are you caught up in such fate?
What do you do?
How do you get yourself out of such paths already written for you?
It's a wonder how this unrequited love work, really. I'd like to know. Then I could find a way to prevent it from happening. Because little do these people going through them know that they aren't the only ones in pain and hurt, but also the ones who love them ever so dearly. To stand back and watch, and that's all you can do really, while one is hurting without being able to do or say anything that could change their minds, or that could save them, is pretty excruciating.
Not only that, but it changes them overtime, into someone unfamiliar. And what sucks more is when this change couldn't have been avoided.
(digression)
Fuck, the same songs have been playing on the radio all day, all night, and it's getting rather sickening. What are they trying to do? Get us sick and tired of that song so that they can throw it out even faster?
But on the whole, I think what really triggers us off, is the disappointment that we feel at the end of the day. Though we say no hopes were placed, we knew that there were. For if there weren't, we wouldn't be waiting on unstable grounds for something to happen.
If things were meant to be, then let it happen, at its own time.
If you push a butterfly into flying when it's just emerged from its cocoon, it is bound to die. Give it time, that's all you can do.
In the mean time, do not forget about life, it is still happening.
And do not feel that loneliness, or a possibility is a reason to pursue something, it isn't.
So here's where the power of trust comes on.
Talking works. But that's as far as one can go, you know.
I mean, people can listen, they can share their experiences, they can give good advice.
But at the end of the day, it is the one going through that is somewhat in control of the wheel.
Not of the situation, but of the actions that they are or are not going to make.
So what happens when these people refuse to help themselves.
What happens when they expect things to work out the way they want it to, just because they are good people?
Well, I must say that this decision would result in something far worse that the fate already carved in stone for them.
Regret.

Sometimes when you look back on a situation, you realize it wasn't all you thought it was. A beautiful girl walked into your life. You fell in love. Or did you? Maybe it was only a childish infatuation, or maybe just a brief moment of vanity.
